I stumbled into your blog when I was looking for Hylas and the Nymphs. I could not tear myself away as I enjoyed your poetic prose, your life, your cat, Pan, your friends. I only felt as an innocent voyeur. But I just want you to know it’s wonderful! So it got me to wondering who you are and where you are heading in life. I like your left-wing, progressive, intellectual slant.
I am writing you from Texas, where I work in academia as a biologist. I’m a real person from a good family, with no criminal history, who would like to expand his horizons, or maybe just have a penpal. Please write if so inclined.
I am honestly speechless. I don’t show this blog to anyone so it’s a little strange to think of someone reading it and understanding this nonsensical web. I’d never thought of my writing as poetry or prose so I suppose a fusion of the two is a good way to describe it. I never thought of myself as intellectual either…
Anytime you feel like writing, I’d love some input or just musings. Thank you so much.
Sailfloat – I discovered your blog while, like Phil, I was looking for Hylas and the Nymphs. Your blog is really interesting. The way you phrase things makes them sound fascinating and beautiful. Most people would describe a concert using words like “awesome” “crazy” or “fun”, but you said that you loved “The way you could close your eyes and see the whole world opening up and swallowing you down the rabbit’s tunnel”. I only wish that I had your way with words. I would like to thank you for sharing the lovely machinations of your thoughts to the rest of the world.
Thanks – Rachel
